Q. I am engaged to a man who absolutely adores me but I fear that I will break his heart. Our different upbringings have caused our lifestyles to clash; I find his way of life aggravates me rather than stimulates. I know I have impulsively fallen in love with him but I’m fighting to become my true self and to make a right decision.
A. Firstly, it’s important to point out that going to an astrologer or any other consultant around such a decision is both a time honoured, and a tricky thing to do, especially if we’re wanting someone to tell us what to do. An astrologer in his or her integrity will give you the best of information to be able to make your own decision. A chart can’t replace the wisdom of your heart but if you’re not certain of what your heart is saying, then maybe that’s strong enough reason not to go ahead, at least for the time being...click 'Read More' to continue...
Q. How is it possible that you can describe a person’s parents in the birthchart? I was quite shocked when an astrologer was able to describe my folks in some very significant ways to me.
A. Any astrologer worth his salt, especially the Jungian-influenced ones, should be able to do this with reasonable acuity. This is partly due to some very obvious pointers from traditional astrology and partly due to how much quality therapy and related training the individual astrologer has done.
Its important to point out though is that the chart will describe more of the karma, the psychodynamics and underlying behaviour patterns that the individual experienced with his or her parents particularly during childhood, rather than it being an objective description of the parent. One only has to look at the charts of a bunch of siblings to see that the parents are represented in many different ways, with some consistent themes, based on each individual’s relationship...click 'Read More' to continue...
Q. My past three partners have had unresolved issues with their ex-partners, with hurtful and damaging effects. I feel I can trust no-one anymore. Why am I attracting this and how can I change the pattern?
A. Firstly, you have a Juno/Saturn conjunction in the 5th House opposite your Venus in Scorpio, as part of a T-square with an Aquarius Moon. This describes attracting a great deal of emotional suppression and criticism as a child, which has damaged your self esteem and lowered your subconscious expectations in relationships. Some part of you doesn’t believe that you deserve better. It also creates a tremendous amount of neediness from the child which translates into indiscriminate choosing of partners and has you joining with people who are unavailable, thus repeating the earlier feelings of rejection and unworthiness...click 'Read More' to continue...
Q. The recent New Moon in Gemini occurred exactly on the current position of my progressed moon, which is in my 7th House of relationships. I’m having some significant shift in the way I feel about them in general and am wondering what this means in the long run.
A. The Progressed Moon is part of the symbolic system called progressions and describes a 28 year cycle reflecting our emotional evolution over time. Even though this cycle is less known, it is as significant as that of Saturn, which also has a similar duration. The Progressed Moon spends 2 and ½ years in each sign and approximately the same in each House, depending on the latter’s size...click 'Read More' to continue...
